The ten-year Destination Development Strategies for this region were formed through an iterative, consultative and collaborative process which started in 2016. This region includes three primary planning areas which are the Chilcotin Central Coast, the Gold Rush Trail and Interlakes. Secondary planning areas in this region includes The Sea-To-Sky Corridor. The region is inclusive of Bella Bella in the west, Lillooet and Yale in the south, Stone Creek in the north and 100 Mile House in the east. The region includes over 50 First Nations.
Tourism into this region of the province is strong during the summer with the Great Bear Rainforest, Gold Rush Trail, and Barkerville being the main tourism drivers. The key activities driving visitation to this region are outdoor adventure experiences. Notable highlights of this region are the rare geography and a variety of BC Parks
